Organizer Terms

Draft. Company details in yellow still need filling in (settings
LEGAL), and these pages need review by a lawyer in each launch country before UrbanX goes live. These terms apply when you run a paid meetup on UrbanX, that is, when you set a price per player. They add to the Terms of Service. Free meetups don’t need them.
1. Setting up a paid meetup
- Describe it accurately: the sport, level, place, time, group size and what the price includes (coaching, equipment, the turf).
- The price is per player, in the turf’s currency for a turf meetup or the currency you pick for anywhere else. You don’t pay to join your own meetup.
- Once players have paid, don’t change the details in a way that makes the meetup a different thing; cancel it instead.
2. Commission and payouts
- Players pay UrbanX, which collects the money on your behalf. UrbanX keeps 10% of each ticket; the rest is yours.
- Your earnings are paid out after the meetup has taken place, to the bank account you verified with our payment provider. The meetup page and My bookings show tickets sold, the commission, your earnings and what’s been paid out.
- For paid meetups listed on UrbanX, take payment only through UrbanX.
3. Refunds
- Players who leave at least 24 hours before the start are refunded automatically, and you don’t earn from those tickets.
- If you cancel the meetup, or its turf booking is cancelled, every ticket is refunded.
- If a meetup doesn’t happen as described, we may refund the players and take the amount back from your payouts.
- The full rules are in the Cancellation & Refund Policy.
4. Your responsibilities
- Running the meetup safely, and having any permission you need to use a public space.
- If you offer coaching or training, having the skills and any qualifications or insurance it calls for.
- Paying for the turf if your meetup uses one; booking it on UrbanX does that when you create the meetup.
- Taxes on your earnings, including registering for GST where the law requires it.
5. When we step in
We may pause paid meetups, hold payouts while we look into a complaint, or close the account of an organizer who misleads players or breaks these terms or the Community Guidelines.
