Community Guidelines

LEGAL), and these pages need review by a lawyer in each launch country before UrbanX goes live.UrbanX works because people turn up, play fair and look out for each other. These guidelines apply to everything on UrbanX: profiles, posts, comments, messages, meetups, communities and venue listings.
1. Be respectful
- No harassment, bullying, threats or unwanted sexual attention, in messages or in person.
- No hate or discrimination based on religion, caste, race, ethnicity, nationality, gender, sexual orientation, disability or age.
- Disagree about the game, not about the person.
2. Be honest
- Describe meetups accurately: the sport, level, place, time and price, and what’s included.
- Use your real name and your own photos. Don’t pretend to be someone else.
- Venues: keep prices, opening hours and facilities up to date.
3. Turn up, or leave in time
A meetup with no-shows can fall apart. If your plans change, leave the meetup as early as you can so someone else can take your place. Organizers: if you have to cancel, do it as soon as you know.
4. Play safely
- Know your fitness, warm up, use suitable gear and follow the venue’s rules.
- No alcohol or drugs before or during play.
- Stop the game if someone is hurt, and get help.
5. Meet safely
- Meet at the venue or another public place, not at someone’s home.
- Tell a friend where you’re going, and keep your phone charged.
- Trust your instincts: you can leave any meetup, and block or report anyone.
6. Respect privacy
- Don’t share other people’s phone numbers, addresses or private messages.
- Ask before posting photos of other people, and never post photos of children who aren’t yours.
7. Keep it about sport
- No spam, chain messages or advertising unrelated to the meetup.
- No scams. For a paid meetup listed on UrbanX, take payment only through UrbanX.
- Don’t post anything illegal, sexual, violent or graphic, or anything that infringes someone else’s copyright.
8. Reporting and blocking
- Block someone from your chat with them: neither of you can then see the other’s posts or message the other, and follows between you are removed.
- Report a message from the chat. For a profile, post, meetup or venue, email us (see Contact & Grievances) with a link to it.
- If someone is in danger, contact the local emergency services first (112 in India).
9. What happens if guidelines are broken
Depending on how serious it is, we may remove content, warn you, limit what your account can do, suspend it or close it. Serious cases, such as threats or violence, may be reported to the police. If you think we got a decision wrong, you can ask our grievance officer to review it.
